The semen freezing process
It will cost £250, this cost will cover the full freeze process, the amount of straws collected will depend on the stud’s Quantity, motility and morphology of his semen, at least two straws are recommended for one breeding, therefore you may need to bring your stud back for more than one course to get The required amount of straws, the repeat process will also cost £250 if needed.
Required to be shipped abroad
If semen is required to be shipped abroad I will need to know Before I start the process, as a specialised vet will need to be Present for the process, this is at an extra cost which the vet will tell me closer to the time. If semen is shipped abroad additional vet fees and transport fees will apply at time of sending.
Freezing Canine Semen (Cryogenics)
Freezing and storing your dogs semen is a fantastic idea for many of reasons, some include:
Shipping to other countries
• Wanting to retire your stud
• If your stud is used a lot, you have a frozen option if his already being used
• Wanting to breed in the future.
The ideal candidate for semen freezing is:
Young to middle aged dogs
• High sperm numbers
• Excellent motility
• Excellent morphology
• No concurrent health issues.
Although this is ideal, we can still try older dogs that have not got amazing semen and still be successful. The semen freezing process will cost £250 and the storage cost is £6 per straw per year. Any questions please ask Zealah.
